I was able to contain the fire and keep it from spreading out of control. Extinguishing it completely would've been preferable, but I am simply glad that I was able to do my part. I really hope that this doesn't happen again. However, it probably will, sigh.

Maybe I would've had better luck if I had used the rune...

In the meantime, I believe I should look into obtaining some armor polish.

Of all the foolish...

Was that really necessary just now?!

Sigh.

It is times like these that make me glad I chose to wear armor over my traveling garments.

Although I must insist that however is behind these arrows to stop immediately before you injure someone.

I hope I am doing this correctly. The accompanying book I found was able explain most of it's functions, but I am simply not used to using such this... device, whatever this thing might be. Somehow, I was able to find a sort of "guide" that better explained my predicament. A stroke of luck, I'm sure. It did answer some of my questions, but it also left me with many more...

Ah, I suppose it is only proper that I introduce myself.

My name is Chris Lightfellow, acting Captain of the Zexen Knights. I must ask if anybody is familiar with the following individuals:

- Salome Harras
- Percival Fraulein
- Borus Redrum
- Leo Gallen
- Roland Lesaurus
- Louis Keeferson

Also, those familiar with Vinay del Zexay, the Grasslands, and beyond are also encouraged to speak to me.
